Can Bitcoin Hit $500,000 in This Bull Cycle?
Amid Bitcoin's more than 25% increase in a month , a popular cryptocurrency analyst known as Kaleo believes that a price of $500,000 per BTC is entirely feasible in the current bull cycle.
According to Kaleo, if the price of gold surges to over $8,000 an ounce , pushing the total gold market capitalization past $50 trillion , then Bitcoin – which has typically outperformed gold in previous cycles – could reach a $10 trillion market capitalization , or $500,000 per BTC .
Bitcoin is expected to surpass gold
Currently, gold is trading around $3,362/ounce , with a market capitalization of more than $22 trillion , while Bitcoin has a capitalization of less than $2 trillion .
Kaleo argues that if Bitcoin simply keeps up with gold's rally , the price could hit $250,000 .
However, if it continues to outperform as in previous cycles, $500,000 is entirely possible .
“I really don’t think that’s too crazy for the ‘king’ of digital assets,” Kaleo added.
Altcoins Could Explode Due to FOMO Effect
Not just Bitcoin, Kaleo believes that the FOMO (fear of missing out) wave will spread to altcoins if BTC price approaches hundreds of thousands of USD.
In particular, the more open regulatory landscape under the Trump administration is also seen as a catalyst for new growth.
“It's not a matter of 'if', but 'when',” Kaleo asserted.
